Cost of Getting Married in a Catholic Church (Boston, MA)

Hi lovelies! It has been a while, but am here to talk about the cost of getting married in a church for you soon to be brides out there in Boston. It is crazy to think that it is expensive to get married in a church. After all, a marriage is something that I think its sacred and should not be expensive to do in a house of god. So unless you are rich and you have no budget, this would not be a problem for you. But I think the churches should be willing to take any amount. I am not talking about $50 as the whole but I would not mind paying $300 for everything. I this that is reasonable. But here are some churches that I enquired with their cost;

1. Saint Cecilia Parish - 18 Belvidere Street, Boston, MA  02115
Donation: $1,000
Music: $450
Wedding Coordinator/Soloist: $350
Suggested Priest Offering: $250

2. Saint Anthony Parish - 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02141
Parish Offering: $350
Cantor & Organist: $350

3. Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish - 134 Norfolk Street, Cambridge, MA 02139

Parish Offering: $300
Cantor: $200
Violist: $200

4. Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 49 Sixth Street, Cambridge, MA, 02141

Soloist, Organist, Church, Wedding Coordinator: $1,000

5. Saint Joseph & Saint Lazarus Church - 59 Ashley St, East Boston, MA 02128

Organist: $350
Church: $300

6. Saint Catherine of Genoa Parish - 192 Summer St, Somerville, MA 02143

Church: $300
Organist: $350
Singer/Cantor: $75

7. Sacred Heart Parish - 303 Paris Street, East Boston

Total Wedding Cost: $525 (not sure what is included in this pricing)

8. Saint Columbkille's Parish -  321 Market St, Brighton, MA 02135

Organist & Cantor: $300
They DO NOT CHARGE for sacraments because they think it is something that should not be paid for.  (IN WHICH I THINK THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SEEN BY EVERY CHURCH)
They accept a donation for the church but they did not push us or whatsoever but I would be donating should I will be using this church. 

9. Saint Ignatius Church - 28 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

Church: $950 ($400 non-refundable) ---- so not sure whether the rest will be refundable
Organist: $200
Cantor: $175

10. Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish - 5 Linden Place, Brookline, MA 02445 

Vocalist, Organist, Church & Wedding Coordinator - $1,000

11. Saint Joseph Parish - 68 William Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston, MA 02114

Total Cost (include organist & soloist, church) - $1,500

So that was all the churches that I believe that I have contacted. I did pick one of them. I am just surprised at the cost. I know it is also both ways, we are giving our offering and blessing to the church as well. There is no hate here, am just voicing my opinions. Some of you might be able to get a cheaper price because maybe you are a part of the parish. But this post is just some information for brides out there with the budget so they could add these cost into their budget. HAPPY PLANNING BRIDES!
